What is Creative Europe

Creative Europe is the European Commission's framework programme for support to the culture and audiovisual sectors. Following on from the previous Culture Programme and MEDIA programme, Creative Europe, with a budget of €1.46 billion (9% higher than its predecessors), will support Europe's cultural and creative sectors. 

Creative Europe consists of two sub-programmes: a Culture sub-programme promoting the creative and cultural sectors, and a MEDIA sub-programme supporting the development and distribution of audiovisual works.
 


Who can take part? 

The Creative Europe programme is open to cultural and creative organisations from EU Member States, as well as non-EU countries. Subject to certain conditions EEA (European Economic Area), candidate/potential candidate and ENP (European Neighbourhood Policy) countries can also participate in the programme on an equal footing with Member States. The following non-EU countries are eligible:

Bosnia and Herzegovina
The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
Georgia
Iceland
Norway
Moldova
Montenegro
Serbia
Ukraine
Tunisia
