Short description
During the 20th century, from Kutlik’s Drawing and Painting School, through Rista and Beta Vukanovic’s School of Painting to Momcilo Zivanovic’s Art School, was formed the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1937, which grew into the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) in 1973.
Although constituted in the experience of art academies of the past, with painting, sculpture and graphic segments as the primary visual areas of research, FFA introduced into the traditional artistic processes (that are used since its foundation) the new developments of digital media and technology. Thus the Faculty created New Media Department form 2016. The whole process of studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts is based on individual student activities and their work in small groups.
