The project will translate, publish, distribute and promote eight European literary works of highest quality including works from four countries with lesser spoken languages all written by female authors of different generations. The books have been chosen to strengthen inclusion and diversity and particularly to bring the European female experiences and literary perspectives to the readers. The books are of highest standard and have been awarded in respective country and some of them also internationally. The themes of the books include emigration, ethnic and sexual minorities, mentally ill, children and disabled protagonists and perspectives. The target groups are younger readers in Georgia and Germany. Especially young readers living inside the Russian occupied zone of Gali are targeted and those with hearing disabilities in Georgia. The publishing of the books is both physical and digital. Furthermore, the promotion and presentations will be held in real life across Georgia and also online with focus on social media. “Female voices, experiences and literary perspectives on Europe” will enhance the European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage. The project will strengthen and preserve the profession of the literary translator, including good working conditions, fair remuneration and their visibly. A priority of the project is to enhance the diversity of the European literature and the circulation of European literary works. The project will also contribute to the circulation of literary works of the lesser used languages among wider markets in Europe since a Georgian book will be translated and published in Germany and therefore being available in the other German speaking countries and territories.
